About Muay Thai Boxing

Muay Thai originated from Muay Boran is a form of striking discipline originated in Thailand and was traditionally used for combat warfare.  It later evolved into the country’s native sport Thai Boxing and is currently a big part of the culture.  Also called the art of eight limbs, its techniques are designed to turn all parts of the body into weapons. The art heavily focuses on body conditioning to and developing mental strength through strenuous training sessions. It is different than kickboxing as it employs elbows, knees and clinching and throwing. Muay Thai is not merely a martial art but a philosophy and a way of life.

Our Approach To Teaching the Arts

The club culture is an atmosphere of education and development of the martial ways.  Our philosophy is that the arts is not merely about punching, kicking, and grappling but also refinement and developing the ethics and the traditions of the martial path.  Emphasis is based on instilling discipline, self confidence and physical performance.  There is no belt system at our academy and students learn that the only way to progress is through effort and hard work.  This approach has proven to be successful and is reflected in the ethical development of character of the students currently in the program.
